Integrated Industrial Electronics

Our place is on the second floor of SCO 24, which sits right in the New Subzi Mandi in Sector-16. Being above a vegetable market means the mornings are incredibly loud and busy. You can hear the shouting of the auctioneers and the sounds of crates being moved around from very early on. We deal with industrial electronics, so our world is a bit different from the fresh produce downstairs. Our rooms are filled with circuit boards, testing meters, and heavy manuals. The climb up to the second floor keeps us fit, though it’s a bit of a struggle when we have to bring up a heavy piece of equipment for testing. The air always smells a bit like onions and earth from the market, which is something you just get used to after a week. We have a few windows that look out over the mandi, and it’s actually quite a view when the whole place is in full swing. Inside, we keep things pretty quiet so we can concentrate on the technical work. It’s not a polished corporate office by any means. There are stacks of old magazines in the corner and a few chairs that have seen better days. We spend a lot of time troubleshooting and peering into the guts of various machines. It’s a good spot for us, even with all the noise outside, because it feels like we are right in the middle of where the real work happens. Sometimes the guys from downstairs bring us some fresh fruit.
