You can find Indian Tools Company on the first floor of building 462, over in 21, D Housing Board Colony in Faridabad. It’s a pretty standard area with a lot of families and small shops around. We like being on the first floor because it gives us a little bit of a view of what’s happening on the street without being right in the middle of all the dust. The stairs are a bit narrow, so carrying heavy boxes of tools up and down can be a real workout for us. We’ve got a couple of rooms that are basically packed to the ceiling with inventory. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze, especially when a new shipment arrives. We don’t have a showroom or anything fancy like that. If you want to see something, we just pull it out of a box and show it to you. The lighting inside isn't the best, so we usually have all the lamps on even during the day. Faridabad is an industrial town, so there’s always a demand for what we do. We know many of the workers in the colony, and they often stop by just to say hello or ask if we’ve got a specific part in stock. It’s a very low-key operation. We don’t bother with big ads or flashy slogans. We just sell tools and try to make sure we have what people are looking for.
