Hind Decorator

Hind Decorator has been at 264, Ground Floor, in Indraprastha Colony for years. Our spot is right there in Sector 30-33, and it's basically a big storage room for all the fabrics and poles we use. You walk in and there’s rolls of cloth everywhere, mostly reds and yellows for weddings. We don't have a fancy reception or anything, just a few plastic chairs for when people come by to talk about their events. Usually, the phone is ringing because someone forgot to count the number of chairs they needed. We spend a lot of time loading and unloading the small truck parked outside. It’s hard work, especially when it’s raining and we have to keep everything dry. My hands are always a bit rough from tying ropes and hauling heavy stuff around. Sometimes we stay late to fix a tear in a tent or to clean the lanterns. It’s a family kind of thing, with a few helpers who have been with us since the start. People in the colony know where to find us if they need a stage set up or just some extra lights for a small party at home. We aren’t doing anything revolutionary, just putting things together so a party looks okay. It gets chaotic during the peak season, but we manage to get through it somehow and keep the shop running.
