Gulati Steel Fabrication Private Limited, Faridabad

Out in the industrial part of Faridabad, specifically Sector-24, is where our fabrication shop sits. The address is 325, and you cannot miss it because of the piles of scrap metal and the sound of grinding machines coming from inside. It is a big shed with a high ceiling, but it still gets incredibly hot during the summer months. There is always dust in the air from the steel being cut and welded. We have a small office section partitioned off with some old plywood, but mostly we are out on the floor. Our boots are always covered in metal shavings by the end of the shift. We do not spend money on fancy brochures or marketing. People just know we are here at number 325. We have a couple of heavy-duty cranes that move the big beams around, and they make a lot of noise. The guys have their own rhythm, working through the piles of orders for gates or frames. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish a big batch, and we just order some food from the local dhaba across the road. It is a gritty job, and our hands are never really clean, but we like the work. The machines are old but they still run fine if you know how to maintain them. It is just us, some steel, and the daily grind in the Haryana industrial belt.
