Global Autotech Ltd is based at 638, Sector-17 in Faridabad. This part of the city is very industrial, lots of warehouses and factories around us. We deal with auto parts and technical stuff that goes into cars. It’s a lot of metal and machinery. The air here usually smells like oil or exhaust, which is just how it is in this sector. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't. We have a shop floor where the real work happens and a small office area for the paperwork. Most of us have been working here for years and we know the machines inside out. It’s loud during the day when everything is running. We get deliveries of raw materials and send out finished parts to different places. Sometimes a machine breaks down and everyone gets a bit stressed until it’s fixed. It’s not a clean office job where you wear a tie. We wear work clothes that get dirty by noon. Faridabad is a tough place but it’s where things get made. We just focus on the task in front of us and try to get the orders done by the weekend. There’s no fancy talk here, just the sound of tools and people trying to do their jobs before they go home to their families. It’s hard on the knees sometimes, but we’ve kept at it for a long time.
