Girnar Stainless

We are located on the ground floor at 2-M/28 B. P. Ground in N. I. T. Our shop is full of stainless steel items, from small parts to larger sheets. It’s a bit of a maze inside because we try to fit as much stock as possible into the space. The floor is concrete and can get pretty cold in the winter. We spend our time cutting metal, moving pipes, and talking to people who come in looking for specific steel bits. It’s a noisy place when the saws are going. We’ve been in this part of N. I. T. for a long time. There isn't any fancy lighting or displays here. We just have shelves and racks holding everything we sell. People know they can just walk in and ask if we have a certain size or grade of steel. Usually, we are covered in a bit of metal dust by the end of the shift. We have a small desk where we write out the bills by hand. It’s a simple, local business where we know our regulars. Sometimes we have to move everything around to find one specific item at the back. It’s not always organized, but we know where most things are. We just stay busy with the metal and try to keep things moving. It’s a decent, honest way to spend the day for all of us here.
