Durga Batteries

We’ve got our shop set up on Link Road in Sector 28. It’s a busy road, so there is always a lot of dust and the sound of horns blowing. Inside, the shelves are lined with heavy lead-acid batteries and some smaller ones for cars. There is a faint smell of chemicals in the air, which is normal for a place like this. We spend a lot of time checking voltage levels and filling up battery water. It’s heavy work, lifting those units onto the charging racks. We have a small counter near the front where we sit and wait for customers. When the power goes out in the neighborhood, we get a lot of people coming in for inverters and backup batteries. We have a couple of old fans that keep the air moving, but it’s still a tough job in the peak of summer. Most of our tools are just simple wrenches and testers. We don't have any fancy decorations on the walls, just some old calendars and maybe a chart showing battery sizes. The floor is concrete and has some stains from the battery acid over the years. We know the regulars who come in every few months to get their batteries checked. It’s a simple, functional shop on a very busy street. We just stay here, handle the heavy lifting, and make sure the batteries are charged up and ready for whoever needs them. We just keep the lights on for others.
