Dlf Laing O'Rourke

Our base is at number 642 in Sector 37, right by the Huda Market in Faridabad. Being so close to the market means there is always something going on outside. You can hear the vendors shouting and the cars honking all through the day. At Dlf Laing O'Rourke, we’ve gotten used to the noise; it just becomes background hum after a while. The office itself is a practical space where we keep track of our construction projects. We have a lot of maps and charts pinned to the walls. It’s not the most organized place, as there are usually samples of materials or stacks of prints lying around on the floor. We don't have a fancy lobby or a coffee machine that does anything special. Usually, someone just brings in a thermos or we send someone out to the market to get tea for everyone. The lighting inside is a bit dim, but it’s enough for what we need to do. Sector 37 is a busy area, and finding parking can be a real headache sometimes. We just focus on getting our tasks done and heading home. It’s a real, working office where things actually happen, and we don’t try to make it look like anything else. It might look a bit cluttered to an outsider, but we know exactly where everything is located when we need it. We spend most of our time coordinating with teams out on the different sites.
