Elson Research Lab

Elson Research Lab is up on the third floor of Dasmesh Plaza. It’s a bit of a climb if the elevator isn't working, which happens more often than we’d like. Our space is mostly taken up by lab benches, some old testing equipment, and stacks of folders. We do various types of technical research and analysis for people who bring us samples. It’s quiet work compared to the shops downstairs. We spend a lot of hours looking through lenses or waiting for a chemical reaction to finish. It’s not the kind of place with a lot of flash or fancy decor. We just have what we need to get the testing done accurately. Our team is small, just a few people who have been doing this for a long time. We don't really go out looking for business; usually, people find us because they need a specific test done and heard we were in the plaza. Being on the third floor gives us a bit of a view of the street, which is nice when we take a break. We try to keep things organized, but when we have a lot of samples coming in, the desks can get a bit cluttered with paperwork and vials. It’s a very straightforward, technical environment. We aren't here to impress anyone with big words, just to provide the data that people are looking for. There’s always a faint smell of cleaning supplies and old paper in the hallway. We keep a kettle in the corner for making coffee.
