D. Y. Construction India Pvt. Ltd, Gurgaon

We’ve been sitting here in Faridabad for a while now, running things for D. Y. Construction India Pvt. Ltd. Most of our actual sites are over in Gurgaon, so there is a lot of back and forth on the roads every day. It’s not a fancy setup, just a regular office where we handle the paperwork and keep track of the equipment. We started out small and stayed pretty much that way, just focusing on the jobs we have in front of us. Some days it is just a lot of phone calls to foremen and checking on cement deliveries. The traffic between here and Gurgaon can be a real pain sometimes, especially in the heat, but that is just part of the job. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s usually just a few of us in the room making sure the schedules are mostly right. Our name is on the door and we just try to get the work done without too much fuss. Sometimes the printer jams or we run out of tea, and that's just a normal Tuesday for us. We’ve got a couple of old desks and some filing cabinets that have seen better days. It is mostly about keeping the projects moving and making sure everyone knows where they are supposed to be. Faridabad is home for the office, and that is where we do the planning.
