The business is located at G-17 in the East India Chowk area, which is part of the Industrial Area N.I.T. It’s a busy place with a lot of trucks moving in and out at all hours. Our space is basically a big warehouse with some desks tucked into the front. We handle all kinds of supplies here, so there are boxes stacked up to the ceiling in most of the rooms. It can get pretty hot during the summer months since the roof is made of metal, but we have some big industrial fans to keep the air moving. We aren't really big on decorating. The walls are just plain, and we have calendars from three years ago still hanging up because nobody bothered to take them down. Most of our neighbors are also in the industrial trade, so there is a lot of shouting back and forth across the alley. We start early in the morning before the sun gets too high and usually wrap things up once the last truck is loaded. It’s a lot of physical work, moving crates and checking lists. We don't use any fancy software; mostly just handwritten ledgers and a lot of memory. It works for us. If you come by, you’ll probably find us mid-task, maybe covered in a bit of warehouse dust, but that’s just how the job is at East India Chowk.
