The shop is right there on the Bypass Road in Sector 29, not too far from the PNB Bank in Old Faridabad. It’s a busy spot with all the traffic heading past every day. Most of the time, the floor is covered in bits of rubber and dust from the road outside. We spend a lot of our hours lifting heavy wheels and trying to get things balanced right. It’s hot work in the summer, especially with the machines running. We’ve got the usual setup for tires and wheels, nothing too crazy but it works for what we need. People pull in when they’ve got a flat or if their steering feels a bit wobbly. We just take a look and see what can be done. It’s not a quiet place, that’s for sure. The sound of the air compressor is pretty much the background music here. We see a lot of regular faces from the neighborhood and some folks just passing through on the highway. Sometimes the queue gets a bit long and we have to ask people to wait a bit, but that’s just how it is. We aren't big on fancy talk. We just handle the tires and make sure the nuts are tight before anyone drives off. It’s a steady rhythm of work that keeps the day moving along until we lock up for the night.
