C.P. Doors Wood Craft

The shop is tucked away in Sector-65 over in Sahupura, Ballabgarh. If you walk inside, the first thing you notice is the heavy smell of sawdust and wood glue. It’s been that way for years. We spend our hours cutting planks and trying to get the joints to fit just right. Most of the guys here have calloused hands and wood shavings in their hair by noon. We don’t have any of those high-end machines you see on TV, just some old saws and drills that have seen better days but still do the job. My brother handles the heavy lifting, and I usually take care of the measurements. Sometimes the wood arrives a bit damp if it’s been raining, and we have to let it sit out for a few days, which slows everything down. That’s just how it goes with wood craft. It’s noisy and dusty, and we have to shout to hear each other over the sound of the planer. Neighbors around Ballabgarh know us for being the place where the radio is always playing slightly out of tune. We don’t really bother with marketing or anything like that; people just see our sign and come in when they need a new frame or a door. It is honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until the sun goes down.
