People usually find us at Shed No. 3 over in the DLF Industrial Estate. It’s on Plot No. 31, which is easy enough to spot once you get past the main gate and navigate the trucks parked everywhere. Balaji Polymers isn't some high-tech lab with glass walls. It’s a shed. The roof is corrugated metal and it gets pretty warm in the summer, but we’ve got some fans going to keep the air moving. We spend most of our hours here among the equipment and stacks of raw materials. There is always a rhythm to the work, a steady noise that you just get used to after a week or two. We don't have a big sign out front, just the number on the door and the name painted on the side. Most of our neighbors are doing the same kind of stuff, so there is a lot of loading and unloading happening in the alleyway. You have to watch your step because there’s usually some scrap or a pallet sitting around. It’s a practical place for practical work. We eat our lunch on the small bench outside when the weather is decent. There’s a tea stall at the corner of the estate that makes the best ginger tea around here. That’s pretty much the highlight of the afternoon for us. We just keep our heads down and get the orders out as they come. It is hard work, but we are used to it.
