Our shop is out in Faridabad, specifically at House Number 430 in Sector 29. Being Authorized By General Motors means we spend our days covered in grease and looking under car hoods. Sector 29 is a busy part of Haryana, and there’s always dust in the air from the roads. We aren't a big fancy service station with a glass front. It’s a practical workspace where we focus on the mechanical side of things. We have our lifts and our tool chests, and that’s about it. Some days are better than others. If the weather is too hot, the shop feels like an oven, but we keep working through it. We handle a lot of the older models that people still drive around here. There’s a small desk where we keep the records, but mostly we are on our feet in the garage area. We know the regular customers by name. They come in for oil changes or when something starts making a weird noise. We don’t use a lot of fancy talk. We just tell them what’s wrong and how long it’ll take to fix. It’s a lot of hard work and long hours, but it keeps the neighborhood’s cars on the road. We’ve lived in Faridabad for years, so this is just home for us. We just do our jobs and try to keep things organized. Usually, we're done by 7 PM and then we lock up.
