Our place is located over at Plot No.14 in the Bhakri Industrial Area. If you know where Dev Dharm Kata is on Bhakri Pali Road, you’ve probably passed us plenty of times. We make different kinds of tapes here. The machines run for most of the day and it can get a little noisy inside the shed once everyone gets started. We started out small and just kept at it. There’s always a lot of rolls of tape sitting around the warehouse area waiting to be loaded onto trucks. It’s a very straightforward business. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone sitting in a suit in a front office. Most of us are on the floor checking the rolls or packing them up into boxes. The dust from the main road sometimes gets in, but we try to keep the work area decent. Working in Bhakri means you get used to the heavy trucks moving around and the noise of the traffic. Sometimes the power goes out and we just have to sit and wait, but that's just how it is around here. We just focus on making the tape right. We don't talk much about future goals, we just look at what needs to be shipped out by Friday. It’s a steady job for the guys who work here. We like being near the main road because it makes logistics a bit easier for the drivers. AUM International Tapes is basically just a group of people working with machines every day to get the job done.
