Amcast Industries

Amcast Industries is located at Shed No. 5 in the Gurukul Indraprasth area, near Amar Nagar. It’s an industrial spot, so there is always a lot of banging and clanging going on. We work with metal, so it gets quite hot and dirty inside the shed. You won't find any fancy carpets or air conditioning here. We have a few heavy machines that have been with us for a long time. They’re loud, but they do the job. My clothes usually have grease on them by noon. Amar Nagar is a bit out of the way, which is fine for the kind of work we do. We don’t get many walk-in visitors, mostly just delivery trucks and the occasional scrap dealer. We take our lunch breaks together sitting on some crates outside when the weather is decent. It’s honest work and it’s what we know. The shed is big enough for what we need, though it gets a bit crowded when we have a lot of raw materials sitting around. We don’t spend much time on the computer, mostly we’re just on the floor checking the parts. It’s not a glamorous life, but we take pride in making things that don’t break. We’ve been in Shed No. 5 for a while and don't plan on moving.
