Our place is at SSI Plot Number 21, right off NH-25. Being near the highway is handy for the trucks, but it means there is always a layer of dust on everything from the traffic passing by day and night. It’s a basic industrial plot, nothing special to look at, just a sturdy building where we get the work done. We handle industrial parts and manufacturing stuff for various clients. The machines make a lot of noise, so you usually have to shout a bit if you’re standing on the shop floor. I usually spend my time between the small office and checking on what the guys are doing out back near the loaders. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. Most of our work comes from people who know we are here on the highway and stop in. Some days we are scrambling to finish a big batch of parts, and other days it’s just routine maintenance and cleaning up the oil spills. The weather out here gets really intense, so in the summer we have to drink a lot of water and keep the big doors open for whatever breeze we can get. It is a simple life, focused on making things that work. We don't talk much about visions or missions, we just make sure the count is right and the pieces are solid before they get loaded up for transport to the next city.
