Ultratech Cement Ltd.

Out here in Fatahpur, near Knhaura village, things move a bit differently than they do in the big cities. We're part of the Tanda area, and while we work under the name of Ultratech Cement Ltd., the daily grind is all very local. We see the same faces every day, mostly truck drivers and builders from around District Ambedkar Nagar. The heat in the summer can be pretty rough, making the work a lot slower than we’d like. We don’t have any fancy office equipment; just a desk, some chairs, and a lot of logbooks to keep track of what’s coming and going. The village of Knhaura is right there, so we’re surrounded by fields and quiet roads. It’s a long way from the hustle and bustle of a main city, which is fine by us. We spend a lot of time just waiting for shipments to arrive or making sure the bags are stacked correctly in the warehouse. Sometimes the rain makes the roads to Fatahpur nearly impassable, so we just have to sit tight and wait it out. It’s not a complicated life, but it keeps us busy. We know the people around here and they know us. There isn't much to say other than we're here every day, doing what needs to be done. It's a steady job in a quiet place, and that's more than enough for most of us working here. It feels good to see local houses being built with the stuff we handle.
