Sultanpur Spun Pipe & Tiles Industries

Our place, Sultanpur Spun Pipe & Tiles Industries, is at Plot No 302 on College Road. Being on College Road means we see a lot of students and young people walking past all day, which keeps the atmosphere feeling energetic. We have a fairly large plot because making spun pipes and floor tiles takes up a lot of room for the molds and the heavy machinery. It’s a noisy business, especially when the mixers are going at full speed. We spend a lot of time out in the open air, which is great until the monsoon season starts and everything gets muddy. We have a small office near the front gate, but mostly it’s just a place to store files and keep the phone. We prefer being out where the tiles are being cast. Most of our workers have been with us since we started, so we’re like a big, slightly messy family. We don’t put on any acts for visitors; if the yard is a mess of sand and gravel, that’s just because we’re busy. People know us for being straightforward. If a delivery is going to be late because the truck broke down, we just tell them. We don’t have a marketing team or anything like that. It’s just us, some cement, and a lot of hard work on College Road. That's about it, really. We just keep our heads down and get it done.
