Rajesh Pustak Bhandar

Rajesh Pustak Bhandar is located in Deorhi Bazar, which is always a busy place to be. If you walk through the market, you will eventually run into our little shop. It is not very large, but we try to squeeze in as much as we can on the shelves. We sell all sorts of books and general stationery that the local people need. The shop has been here for a long time, and the wooden boards outside are starting to show their age. Inside, it is usually a bit cluttered because new stock arrives faster than we can put it away. There is a small bench for people to sit on if they are waiting, but mostly people just stand at the counter and tell us what they want. The ceiling fan makes a clicking noise that we stopped noticing years ago. Being in Deorhi Bazar means there is always shouting and noise from the other vendors outside, but that is just part of the atmosphere. We open up early in the morning and do not close until the market starts to quiet down at night. It is a simple life, selling pens and notebooks to school kids or religious books to the elders. We do not try to be anything we are not. We are just a local bookstore trying to make a living in a crowded market. Sometimes we run out of things, but we try to get them back in stock quickly for the regulars who depend on us.
