Kheri Rice Mills

Kheri Rice Mills is located at Chhauch Chauraha on L.R.P. Road. It’s a busy intersection, so there is always a lot of dust and noise from the passing trucks. We have been here for a good number of years. The location is handy because so many people pass through the chauraha on their way to other places. Our building is nothing special, just a practical space for milling rice. We have a small crew, mostly just guys from the nearby area who have been with us for years. We don't spend much time in an office; most of the day is spent on the mill floor or loading the trucks. Sometimes the traffic at the crossroads makes it hard to get the grain out, but we've learned to deal with it. It’s a local business, through and through. We don't have any big slogans or goals other than doing a decent job every day. The work is physical and tiring, but it's what we know. People around here call us the rice guys at the junction. We like it that way. If you’re coming down L.R.P. Road, you’ll see our gates. We are usually there from sunrise to sunset, especially when the new crop comes in. We don't have much to say about ourselves other than we show up and do the work. It’s just how things are done here at the chauraha for a long time.
