Welcome Mega Mart

Welcome Mega Mart sits near the Punjab National Bank on Etawah Road. We are inside the Bombay Building. It is a big, solid structure that has been there for years. The mart is a busy place, especially in the evenings when people are coming home from work. We spend a lot of time stocking the shelves and making sure things look decent. It is not a perfect science. Sometimes the crates are heavy and we drop a few things. You can hear the sounds of the traffic on Etawah Road all day long. The bank nearby brings in a lot of people, so we get a good mix of folks coming through the doors. We don't do anything special; we just keep the essentials ready. There are always boxes to unpack and floors to sweep. It can get a bit loud with the fans and the noise from the street. The lighting inside is a bit bright, but it helps us see what we are doing. We know the regular customers who come in for their daily milk or bread. It is a nice feeling to recognize people. We are just a local shop trying to keep things organized. Sometimes we run out of space on the shelves, and things end up stacked in the aisles for a bit. It is just how it goes during a busy week. Managing a store like this takes a lot of walking around all day from one corner to the other.
