M. Shree Sarees

M. Shree Sarees is located at No. 203 in Lalpura. We’ve been part of this neighborhood for a long time. Lalpura is a place where everyone kind of knows each other, and we like that. Our shop isn't very large, but we pack a lot into it. We focus on sarees, which means we spend a lot of time looking at different colors and patterns. It can be a bit overwhelming when a new shipment comes in and there are piles of fabric everywhere. We don't have a big marketing department or anything. It's just us showing people what we have available. Sometimes the shop gets a bit crowded when a few people come in at once, but we manage. We try to keep things simple and honest. If a fabric isn't great, we'll say so. We’d rather have people trust us than just make a quick sale. The building itself is old, but it stays cool enough in the summer. We spend our days folding and unfolding things, making sure everything is stored properly so it doesn't get ruined. It’s a lot of repetitive motion, but you get used to it. We drink a lot of tea and talk to the people who walk by the shop window. It’s a quiet life, mostly. We don’t have big ambitions to be a global brand. We just want to keep the shop going and serve the people who live around here in Lalpura. We usually close for a bit in the middle of the day.
