Kolkata'S Kesariya Tea And Snacks is situated at Kutchery 885 in Vinod Nagar, right along Fort Road in Etawah. Being in Uttar Pradesh, the weather gets quite hot, so the tea is always brewing on the stove. We spend most of our time in the kitchen area, getting the snacks ready for the people who stop by. The shop is in a busy spot because of the Kutchery and the traffic on Fort Road. You can hear the vehicles honking all day long while we work. We have a few benches for people to sit on, but they are usually full during the morning and evening hours. We make the snacks in batches, so there is always the smell of frying oil and spices in the air. It’s a very simple operation. We don’t have a menu printed on fancy paper; people just ask what is ready. Sometimes we run out of certain things before the afternoon is over. The walk from Fort Road brings in a lot of different people. We have been at this location for a while and the routine is the same every day. We open the shutters, light the gas, and start boiling the water. It’s hard work being near the stove all day, but it’s what we do here in Etawah.
