K.G. Rice & Dal Mills

This is K.G. Rice & Dal Mills. We are set up over on Samittee Road in the Naveen Mandi area of Bharthana. If you've ever been to the mandi, you know how busy it gets with tractors and carts everywhere. Our mill is right in the thick of it. We spend our days processing rice and various pulses. It’s a lot of noise from the big machines and there is always a layer of husks on the ground. We have a few guys working the lines and making sure everything is bagged up properly. The warehouse is usually full of sacks stacked high to the ceiling. It’s not a fancy setup, just a practical one for getting the job done. We’ve been in Bharthana for a long time and we know how the local market works. Some days are slow but most of the time we are rushing to finish orders before the sun goes down. The office is just a small room with a desk and a few chairs for when farmers come in to talk. We don't have a big corporate team, just us workers. The location on Samittee Road is convenient for the transport trucks to come and go. It’s hard work and it gets dusty, but that is just part of running a mill. We just focus on getting the grain sorted and ready for the market every day, which keeps us busy enough throughout the week.
