Bhagwati Rice Mill

Bhagwati Rice Mill is situated right on Nh-92, along the Etawah Road in Khandesi. We are very close to Holy Point Academy, so we see all the school buses and parents going by every morning and afternoon. The mill itself is a large space filled with the sound of processing equipment. It’s a gritty job, and we are always covered in a bit of dust by the time we go home. We’ve been at this location for a good while. The highway is busy, which is good for our deliveries. We have a few guys who handle the heavy lifting and a couple of us who manage the machines. There’s no big marketing team here, just us answering the phone and writing down orders in a notebook. We don’t really do anything fancy. The focus is always on the rice and getting it through the mill correctly. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait around, but that’s just life here. We chat with the neighbors and the people from the school occasionally. It’s a straightforward business. We don’t have a website or anything like that; people usually just know where we are on the road. We open up early and stay until the last load is finished. It’s a long day, but it’s what we know how to do. We just keep the wheels turning and the grain moving along.
