B L Jewellers is located at Plot No. C-12 in the Rameshwaram Markit. We’ve been here in Homgunj for quite some time, right near the Sadar Tahseel. Most of the people who come into the shop are looking for something for a wedding or a gift. We keep a variety of pieces in the cases, mostly gold and silver things that people around here like. It’s a small shop, so you can see everything pretty easily once you walk in. We spend our days talking to customers and sometimes doing small repairs on chains or rings that have seen better days. The market gets quite crowded, especially during the festival seasons, and we usually have the door open to let some air in. It isn't a big showroom with bright spotlights and security guards in suits. It’s just us behind the counter. We try to be fair with the prices and explain the weight of the metal to anyone who asks. People know us in this part of Homgunj because we’ve been at this spot for a while. Sometimes someone will bring in an old piece of jewelry to see what it is worth or to get it cleaned up. We just do our work and keep the glass clean. It’s a regular business where we know our neighbors and see the same families coming back over the years. We take things as they come and try to keep the cases filled with items that people need.
