Jawahar Lal Nehru Memorial Inter College

We are situated right at Mireachi Adda, which is just in front of the Nagar Palika in Marehara. This is in the Etah district. The location is quite central for the town, so there is always a lot of activity outside. You can see the government buildings across the way and people coming and going all day long. As an Inter College, we have a lot of students from Mirehachi and the nearby villages coming here. The roads can get quite dusty, especially when the wind picks up. Our building is a large one, painted in a simple way, with a big gate that stays open during school hours. Inside, it’s all about the daily grind of classes and lectures. We have long corridors and classrooms that have seen many generations of students. The furniture is mostly wooden and shows its age, but it’s sturdy. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment, just the essentials for teaching. The teachers often sit outside in the sun during winter breaks to stay warm. We handle everything from the morning assembly to the late-afternoon sports in the small yard we have. It’s a very traditional place. We don't try to impress anyone with big words or shiny things. We just provide a place for the local kids to get their education. Most of us have been working here for years and we know the rhythms of the town perfectly.
