Our place, Vyasa Photography, is right on Manika Palayam Road. If you know where the SBI ATM is, you’ve basically found us. Actually, there are two ATMs near here, which makes it easy to explain to people who are lost or coming from the other side of town. We spend most of our time behind the lens or sitting at the old computer trying to get the colors just right. The shop is a bit cramped because we have tripods and backdrops leaning against almost every wall. We started this because we liked taking pictures of local weddings and family events. It’s been a few years now. The floor is tile and stays cool even when it’s hot outside. We have a small bench for people to wait on, though it’s not the most comfortable thing in the world. Sometimes the light coming through the front window is perfect, and other times it’s just a nuisance. We do a lot of passport photos and the occasional portrait when someone asks. It isn't a high-end studio with fancy lights everywhere. Just us and our cameras. Often, we’re out on a job, so the shutter stays down for a few hours. That’s just part of the work. If you drop by and we aren't there, we're probably just down the street grabbing a snack or some tea. It’s a simple life, really, just capturing what we see and making sure people have their memories on paper.
