Our hospital is located in Erode at the Manickampalayam Housing Unit, specifically at HIG-1064. Being in a housing unit area means we see a lot of our neighbors as patients. It’s a community-centered place, and the atmosphere is quite different from a big city hospital. We’ve been here for some time, and the building has become a familiar sight for people living nearby. The rooms are basic, and we focus on the essentials. There is always a smell of cleaning supplies in the air, which I guess is normal for a place like this. Erode can get quite warm, so we have plenty of fans going in the wards. Our staff is local, and they often speak the same dialect as the people coming in, which makes things easier. We don't have a massive budget for advertising, so most people find out about us by word of mouth. Sometimes the equipment needs a bit of tinkering to keep it going, but we manage. The waiting area has a few old magazines and some plastic chairs that have seen better days. We spend our time checking charts, talking to families, and making sure the pharmacy has what it needs. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do. We just keep the doors open and take care of whoever comes in with a problem.
