Mkn Chai Pvt. Ltd. is based at No. 1339 on K. K. Nagar 1St Street, near the Vasavi College Post. We’ve been around this neighborhood for a while, and it’s a pretty good spot to be. It’s mostly a quiet area, though things pick up when the college students are around. We aren't some massive corporation with glass buildings. We just have our place here where we handle everything related to our chai business. It’s a lot of boxes and bags of tea, and the smell is actually quite nice when you walk in. Most of the staff live nearby, so it feels like a local operation. We don’t use any of those big marketing words to describe ourselves. We just make chai and try to do it well enough that people keep coming back. Our office is a bit small and sometimes a bit cluttered with paperwork and samples, but we know where everything is. On hot days, we usually have a fan going, and there's almost always a pot of tea brewing somewhere. We don't have a mission statement hanging on the wall; we just have a schedule we try to stick to. It’s a simple business run by regular people. We’ve gotten to know the delivery drivers and the postman pretty well over the years. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing every day at K. K. Nagar. It's home.
