If you’re in Erode, you can find us over in K.K. Nagar. We are located at 158 Chinnasamy Street, right on the first floor. The Chennai Silks has a long history, and this branch is a big part of the local shopping scene. It’s a lively street, and you can usually hear the sound of the traffic and people talking downstairs. Our floor is filled with all kinds of fabrics, especially the silks that people come here for. It’s not a quiet, hushed store; it’s a place where families come to pick out clothes for weddings or festivals. We spend a lot of time folding and refolding sarees to make sure they look decent on the shelves. The staff here are all locals, and we’ve known many of our customers for years. It’s not unusual to spend twenty minutes just chatting with someone before they even look at the clothes. We don't have any corporate scripts to follow. We just show people what we have and let the fabric speak for itself. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded on the weekends, and it can feel a bit chaotic with all the colors and people moving around, but we like it that way. It feels like a real part of Erode life. We keep things simple, focus on the stock we have, and try to make sure everyone who walks up those stairs finds what they need.
