Thalavady Farmers Foundation

Our foundation is based over in Erahanallithalavadi, specifically at 6/111 on Kongahalli Road. We are just a group of local farmers from the Thalavady area. Erode has a lot of farming, and we are just one small part of it. We call it a foundation, but really it's just us trying to help each other out in the fields. We share knowledge about the crops and help with the hard parts of the job like tilling or harvesting. The hills around here make the farming a bit different than in the flat lands. We have to deal with different weather and soil that can be rocky. It's a quiet life up here. We don't have any fancy mission statements or anything like that. We just want to make sure everyone can keep their farms running and their families fed. You'll find us mostly out on Kongahalli Road or in the fields nearby working the soil. We talk about the rain and the pests and how to get a fair price for what we grow. It's basic stuff. We've lived here a long time and we know the rhythms of the land quite well. It's just a few people trying to make things a little easier for the whole community. No big corporate stuff, just neighbors helping neighbors out when things get tough. We've been doing this for a while and we'll keep at it as long as we're able.
