Sri Sowdeshwari Textiles

You can find us at No. 17/47 in Odakkadu, Narayana Nagar, over in B. Komarapalayam. This area is known for textiles, so we fit right in with the other shops around here. Sri Sowdeshwari Textiles is a place where we deal with a lot of yarn and cloth every single day. The air is always a bit full of lint, which makes us sneeze sometimes. We have several looms and they make a very specific rhythmic sound when they are running. It is almost like music once you get used to it. My grandfather started working with textiles a long time ago, and we just kept going with it. B. Komarapalayam is a busy town, and Narayana Nagar is right in the middle of the action. We have a small storage room where we keep the finished rolls before they get picked up. Sometimes the colors don't come out exactly right, and we have to figure out what went wrong. It is a lot of trial and error even after all these years. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just know where we are and they come by when they need something. We spend most of our time on our feet, moving between the machines and the loading area. It is tiring work, but it is what we know how to do best. We keep the machines oiled and finish the orders by Friday.
