Sri Selva Laksmi Store

Our store is located in Manikawalagum, in the Kaitai area. It’s a small, local shop where we keep a bit of everything that people might need day to day. We’ve lived in this area for a long time, so running the store feels like just being part of the neighborhood. It’s not like those big supermarkets you see in the city. We know our customers by name, and we usually know what they are coming in for before they even ask. The shelves are packed with groceries and household items, and sometimes it’s a bit of a squeeze to get through the aisles. We don't have any fancy marketing or big light-up signs. The store is just a plain building where we do our business. Most of our day is spent restocking things or chatting with the people who drop by for a few items. The Kaitai area is pretty peaceful, and we like being the spot where everyone meets up. Sometimes we run out of things if the delivery truck is late, but our regulars are patient with us. We try to keep the milk and bread fresh every single morning because that's what most people are looking for first thing. My wife handles the accounts while I move the sacks of rice and flour around. It’s a simple routine, but it keeps us on our feet and connected to everyone in Manikawalagum. We just do our best to keep the doors open and the shelves full.
