Sri Kamalam Clinic

Sri Kamalam Clinic sits at 18 Theppakulam Street, which is right across from the Sivaranjini Hotel road. It’s a handy location since it is so close to the Collectorate office. A lot of people who have business at the government buildings end up stopping by if they aren't feeling well. We are a small operation, really just a basic clinic for the local community. The street outside can be quite packed with motorbikes and people walking to the hotel or the offices. Inside, we have a simple setup. There’s a small desk, some chairs for waiting, and the room where we see people. We have been here for a while and the locals know us well enough. We see a lot of the same faces every month. It’s mostly routine things like checking blood pressure or dealing with a cold that won't go away. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us making sure everything is taken care of. The walls are painted a plain color and we don't have any of those shiny posters you see in big city hospitals. It’s just a place to get checked out and get back to your day. We try to keep our hours steady so people know when they can find us. The sun hits the front of the building pretty hard in the afternoons, so we usually keep the shutters halfway down to stay cool.
