You can find our unit at NO. 751/4 in Senkadu, which is part of Sokkaramman Nagar in the Bhavani area of Erode. It is an industrial neighborhood, so we have all kinds of neighbors making different things. We focus on nonwoven materials here. The building is a large shed that gets quite hot during the afternoon, but we have enough ventilation to keep it manageable for the workers. Most of the folks here are from Erode or the nearby towns. We’ve been at this for a while, and we’ve seen the area change as more businesses move in. Our daily life is pretty simple. We check the machines, load the materials, and keep an eye on the quality. There is nothing fancy about how we work. We don't have big meetings or corporate lunches. Usually, we just sit together and have our tiffin during the break. The road leading to the unit is a bit narrow, so the truck drivers have to be careful when they are backing in. We have a lot of rolls of fabric sitting around, so we have to be careful about dust and keeping everything clean. It’s a lot of physical work, moving things around and making sure the orders are ready for dispatch. We just keep our heads down and do what needs to be done. It’s an honest way to make a living.
