Sai Ram General Stores

We are located at Number 1 on Pallipalayam Road. Most people know us because we are right near Gowri Theatre. It is a good landmark to have because everyone in the area goes there. Sai Ram General Stores is just your typical neighborhood shop. We carry a bit of everything because you never know what someone might need at the last minute. The morning is usually our busiest time when people are heading to work or school and stop in for a few things. Then it gets quiet in the afternoon when the sun is hot, and we usually take a bit of a break ourselves. The shop is not very large, so things are stacked pretty high on the shelves. We try to keep track of where everything is, but sometimes even we have to hunt for a specific item. We have been in this spot for a long time, and we have seen the kids in the neighborhood grow up and start coming in with their own children. It is a nice feeling to be a part of the daily life around here. We aren't trying to be a big supermarket or anything like that. We just want to have what the local people need and be a place where people can just stop by. Sometimes the theater crowds make the road very busy in the evenings, but it brings more life to the street. We just stay open until the last show starts and then head home.
