S P Hospitals

You can find us at No 24 on Dr Venkatraman Street in Gobichettipalayam. It is a fairly quiet street compared to the main bus stand area, which is nice for a hospital. S P Hospitals is a local spot that people in the HO area have known for some time. The building is painted a plain color and we have a few rooms for patients. It is not like those giant city hospitals with glass walls. We have regular fans and windows that look out onto the street. You can see the trees and the occasional cow wandering past. The staff is mostly local people who live nearby. We have a small desk at the entrance where we write down names in a big ledger book. The floors get mopped a few times a day because of the mud from the street. It feels like a part of the town here. Sometimes it gets really busy on market days when everyone comes into Gobi for their shopping and chores. We have some benches outside for when it gets crowded. It is just a basic hospital doing what it can for the people on Dr Venkatraman Street. We have been here for years and the gate usually stays open all day long. There is nothing fancy about it, just a place for getting better and resting. You can hear the sounds of the neighborhood all the time.
