Openw3B Foundation

Our place, the Openw3B Foundation, is located at 155/12 Gandhiji Street 2, right off the Karur Byepass Road in Kollampalayam. If you are driving by, you might miss the turn because the bypass gets so crowded with trucks and buses most afternoons. The office is really just a regular room where we keep our computers and a few files. It isn't anything special to look at, but it works for what we need. We spend a lot of time sitting here, working on different projects. Sometimes the heat gets a bit much, especially in the middle of the day, so we keep the fans going at full speed. People in the neighborhood know us as the folks who are always hunched over their screens. We don't have a big sign out front or a receptionist waiting to greet people. If someone knocks, one of us just gets up to open the door. It’s a very local way of doing things. We like being in this part of town because it feels real. You can hear the sounds of the bypass and the neighbors going about their business. It is a simple setup without any of the corporate stuff you see in the big cities. We just focus on the tasks we have for the day and try to get through them. There is usually a lot of paper around and maybe some coffee cups that need washing, but that is life here.
