We are based out of a small unit at Number 429/351 in Police Thottom, which is over in the Manickampalayam area. It’s a bit of a maze to find us if you aren't from around here, as the streets are narrow and look quite similar. Our building is a simple concrete structure that stays relatively cool, which is lucky because the textile work involves a lot of movement. The floor is almost always covered in bits of lint and scrap fabric, no matter how often we try to sweep it up. We have a few machines running for most of the day, so there is a constant hum in the background that becomes like white noise after a while. We don't have a corporate office or a meeting room with a big glass table. Instead, we usually just pull up a stool near the cutting table if we need to talk about something. It is a very hands-on kind of place. Most of the people working here have lived in the area for a long time, so it feels like a neighborhood spot. We don't spend money on fancy marketing or big advertisements. We just focus on the fabric and making sure the orders are packed correctly before they go out. Sometimes the delivery trucks have a hard time navigating the turn into our street, which leads to a bit of shouting and gesturing, but we always manage to get things loaded eventually.
