Mrc Eye Hospital

Mrc Eye Hospital is located right opposite the Periyar Arch in Periyar Nagar. It’s a landmark that most people use to find us. Since we focus on eyes, our daily life involves a lot of specialized equipment and testing charts. The building is a bit of an older style, but it serves us well. We see people of all ages, from kids who need glasses to older folks who can't see as well as they used to. The waiting room is usually a mix of people squinting at their phones or chatting. We try to keep things moving, though some eye tests take a lot longer than others. It’s a specific kind of work, very different from a general hospital. We spend a lot of time in darkened rooms looking at screens or through lenses. The staff here has been together for years, so we have our own way of doing things. It’s not a fancy place with marble floors, just a functional eye center. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded near the front desk when everyone is trying to pay at once. We just handle it one person at a time. Outside, the traffic near the Arch is always moving, but inside it’s a bit more focused. We’re just here to help people see a bit better than when they walked in. That is the goal every morning when we turn on the lights.
