Mg Industries

The workshop here at No. 254/9 Kothukarar Thottam has been our main base for a while now. Being in Veerappan Chatram means we are right in the thick of things, though the road outside can get a bit congested during the afternoon hours. Mg Industries isn't a fancy place with glass windows or air conditioning in the back. It’s mostly just us working with the metal and the machines while the ceiling fans try to keep the air moving. Some days the humidity in this part of town is really something else. We start early when the sun isn't too high yet. You can see the trucks coming and going from the neighboring plots. Our gate is usually open by eight. There is a lot of noise once the work gets going, which is just how it is in an industrial area like this one. We keep our supplies stacked against the far wall where the roof doesn't leak. If you are looking for the place, just head toward the Thottam and you’ll see the sign. It’s a bit faded from the sun but it’s still there. We don't spend much time on the office part, mostly we are just out on the floor making sure everything is running. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit, but that gives us a chance to have some tea and sit on the stools outside for a while until the grid comes back online.
