Meenakshi Textiles

Meenakshi Textiles is a small shop at No. 27 Veera Street. We have been on this street for quite some time, and most of the neighbors know us. We sell fabric and some ready-made textile items. The shop is packed from floor to ceiling with different materials. It’s not a big, modern showroom with fancy lights or glass doors. We just have some tube lights and a few fans to keep the air moving. People come in to look for specific cloth for their dresses or for home use. Sometimes it takes a while to find the exact roll someone is looking for because we have so much tucked away in the back. Veera Street is a narrow one, so parking can be a bit of a headache for our customers. We mostly deal with people from the surrounding blocks who walk over. We don't have a website or do any online selling. If you want to see what we have, you just have to come by the shop. The wooden shelves are a bit old and creaky, but they hold the weight of the fabric just fine. We spend our days measuring out yards of cloth and cutting them for whoever stops in. It’s a steady pace, not too fast, not too slow. We’ve had some of the same customers for decades, which is a nice thing about being on a local street like this. We just keep the door open and wait for customers.
