Down at 3/13 on Bharathiyar Street in Ammapettai, we’ve got our little office set up. It’s a simple spot in Erode where we handle the day-to-day for L&T. The area around Bhavani is usually humming with activity, but inside our doors, we just focus on the job at hand. It’s not a fancy office with big glass walls or anything like that. We have wooden desks that have seen better days and plenty of cupboards for all the files we keep. Most of us have been working together here for a while, so we know how to get things done without making a big fuss about it. We start our mornings with a quick chat about the schedule and then just dive in. The post office is nearby, which is handy for the mail we send and receive. It’s a very practical place to spend the day. We don’t really use corporate language or have long meetings. We just talk to each other and solve whatever problems come up. Sometimes the street gets a bit dusty, but we keep the office as tidy as we can. It’s a modest workspace, but it’s ours. We just try to do the work right and stay on top of things. It’s just a normal office with normal people trying to do their part in the local community. We like the pace here and wouldn't change it.
