Nava Shree Exports

Our workspace is at B-18 in the Housing Unit area of Kollampalayam. It’s a bit different because we are located in what looks like a regular residential block. This makes it a lot quieter than the main markets, which is nice for when we need to focus. We use a couple of the rooms to store our fabrics and another for the actual work of checking and packing the exports. It’s not a massive factory, just a small unit where a few of us sit and work every day. The neighbors are used to seeing the tempo trucks coming by to pick up the boxes. We usually start our day early while it’s still cool outside. The building has a small front porch where we sometimes sit and have tea during our break. It feels very local and low-key. We don’t have a big staff, just a handful of reliable people from the Kollampalayam area who have been with us for a while. Sometimes we struggle with space when a large shipment arrives, and we have to stack boxes all the way to the ceiling. It can be a bit of a squeeze to move around then. But we’ve learned how to manage in this small space over the years. We just keep our heads down and get the work done, making sure every box is taped up properly before it leaves the housing unit.
