Kanika Cool Drinks

You can find us at 478 Nasiyanur Road. We are right in the Vettukattuvalasu area, which stays pretty lively. Kanika Cool Drinks is a small operation, mostly just me and a couple of guys keeping the place going. The road outside is usually full of traffic, so there’s always a bit of noise and dust. We spend a lot of our time making sure the refrigerators are stocked and the bottles are arranged properly. It’s a simple shop with a concrete floor and some basic lighting. We’ve been at this spot for quite a while, so we’ve seen the neighborhood change and grow around us. People often stop by on their way home from work because we are right on the main path. The heat can be pretty bad here, so the cold drinks are a necessity for most folks. We don’t have a website or any of that stuff; we just open the doors and wait for people to come in. Sometimes we run out of change and have to run next door to the tea stall to break a bill. It’s those little daily interactions that keep things interesting. We like the rhythm of the street and the regulars who come in every day at the same time. It’s a modest business, but it keeps us busy and we like being part of the Vettukattuvalasu community.
