Our place is out at No. 30 Vasuvapatti in Chittode. It's more of a functional space than a shop you'd see in the city. We do a lot of textile work here, focusing on the basics of the trade. The building is simple and serves its purpose for storing and moving goods. Chittode is a busy hub for this kind of thing, so there are always trucks and deliveries coming and going near us. We spend the mornings organizing the warehouse and checking the latest batches that come in. It gets dusty sometimes, but that’s just part of working with textiles. We don’t have a big office or anything. Most of our time is spent on the floor, looking at the feel of the cloth and making sure the orders are stacked correctly. It’s honest work and keeps us on our feet all day. We’ve been at this location for a while now, and we know the neighbors well. If you come by, you’ll see we don’t put on any shows. It’s just the stacks of cloth and the equipment we use to move things around. Sometimes we have a lot of one type of fabric and not much of another, it just depends on the week. We just try to keep things organized so we can find what we need when someone calls. It’s a straightforward life here in Vasuvapatti. We just keep doing what needs to be done each morning.
