Hi-Life Labels

Hi-Life Labels is based at 218, Palladam Road, over in the Veerapandi area. Being right on the main road means there’s a lot of dust from the trucks, so we spend a fair bit of time just wiping down the machines. Our place is basically divided into two: the front is a small office and the back is where all the printing happens. It’s a noisy environment when the machines are going, which is most of the day. There are about six of us working here. We don't really do the whole formal office thing. Most days, you’ll find us in old clothes, covered in a bit of ink. We have a large wooden table in the middle of the office where we spread out the labels to check for any smudges or errors. It’s a lot of squinting and detail work. We don’t have a breakroom, so we usually just eat at our desks or head out to the small shack nearby for some food. Sometimes the heat gets to be a bit much, but we have a few old ceiling fans that do their best. We don’t have a big marketing plan or anything fancy like that. We just take the orders, print the labels, and make sure they get to the right person. It’s a straightforward, local operation. We just focus on our daily tasks and try to keep things moving.
